Clinical Haematology

The Clinical Haematology service offers a comprehensive assessment of haemostasis, thrombosis, unexplained cytoses and cytopenias, and potential haematological malignancies.

Referrals are welcome for:

  • abnormal bleeding or bruising

  • perioperative management of bleeding risk or anticoagulation

  • deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

  • unexplained anaemia

  • persistent neutropenia or thrombocytopenia

  • suspected myeloproliferative disorders (polycythaemia and thrombocytosis)

  • assessment of suspected or confirmed myeloma, lymphoma or leukaemia
