Dr Sasha Beitner is a General and Acute Care Medicine Specialist with public appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Northern Health and Western Health.


Dr Beitner graduated from Monash University in 2009 before completing her clinical training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin Health and Northern Health.


Dr Beitner has a special interest and expertise in managing patients with complex multisystem medical conditions and is committed to providing individualised and holistic care.

Inpatient services

Dr Beitner provides inpatient consultations at Epworth Richmond, Epworth Freemasons, Melbourne Private Hospital and Frances Perry House. Referrers can contact her through the Epworth switchboard on (03) 9426 6666.

Outpatient services

Dr Beitner sees outpatients at Suite 9.3, Danks Wing, Epworth Richmond. The rooms can be found on the ninth floor, using the lifts nearest the hospital's main reception area. The rooms are wheelchair accessible. Paid car parking is available in the hospital carpark and the surrounding streets. Public transport access is via the route 48 or 75 trams (stop 15).

 

Pathology, radiology, and pharmacy services are available on-site.

 

Dr Beitner also provides telehealth services using doxy.me. This secure service can be accessed from any web browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone. There is no need to install additional apps or software. The virtual waiting room can be accessed at doxy.me/perspectivemedicine.

The preferred means of contact for all administrative enquiries relating to appointments, payments, documentation or clinical issues is via enquiries@perspectivemedicine.com.au. Written communication allows us to ensure that your questions are addressed accurately by the correct member of our team and recorded for quality and audit purposes. If you are unable to send an email, reception staff can be contacted by phone at (03) 9115 5552.

All emails sent to this address are stored securely and outgoing emails with sensitive information are encrypted to protect patient privacy, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Outgoing emails will contain a link to our secure server and can be accessed using these steps. Once you have accessed the message, you can reply directly and/or download attachments if required.

Patients who have urgent clinical issues or emergencies should contact standard urgent-care services, including Nurse-on-Call, your general practitioner, local emergency department, or the ambulance service.

 

Fees

Dr Beitner does not charge an out-of-pocket "gap" for inpatient consultations, which will be billed directly to your insurer. Uninsured patients will be charged the equivalent of the AHSA benefit.

 

All appointments (face-to-face and telehealth) attract a private fee, which is payable on the day of appointment via credit or debit card:

 

Standard initial consultation $350

Complex initial consultation (60min) $450

Standard review consultation $150

Complex review consultation (30 min) $250

 

Medicare rebates apply to all services with a valid referral.  Medicare claims will be submitted by administrative staff and paid into the bank account you have provided to Medicare.

 

Medicare-ineligible patients will be charged a fee equal to the Medicare rebate for the relevant consultation.

Patients seeking reimbursement for fees from Workcover or TAC will be given an invoice for use in making a claim.
